What happens when it rains?

In the case of heavy rain, all rail bike excursions will be cancelled. If any type of steady, heavy rain occurs or if thunderstorms occur, the rail bike excursion will be cancelled. Customers will be notified by phone, text and email the morning of departure. Customers will be given the option of rescheduling or a full refund.

In the case of light rain (such as showers, sprinkles, or mist) customers will be given the option of continuing with the rail bike excursion, rescheduling, or a refund. Customers should bring umbrellas and wear ponchos. Customers will be notified by phone, text and email the morning of departure.

Rain causes a very unpleasant experience for rail bikers. Everyone gets soaking wet, and the ground around railroad tracks becomes very muddy. Children and teenagers become miserable. Thunderstorms are dangerous due to lightning.
